Free domain privacy is offered to protect our customer’s from identity theft by masking your domain’s registrant information, which is required by ICANN, from spammers and solicitors.
At this time you can register or renew a domain for a period of 1 year. If you would like to register or renew a domain for multiple years please contact support.
Unfortunately, this means that another individual or entity owns that domain name and it cannot be registered.
Transferring a domain name may take up to 7 days from the date the domain transfer was initiated. We have no control over the time it takes to receive an incoming domain transfer.
Prior to initiating a domain transfer please remember to disable the lock status on your domain name and remove any domain privacy. This is required by ICANN; the governing body for all domain registrations and transfers.
Depending on the TLD, you may be required to submit additional information to register a domain. In most cases, a domain registration will require your name,

A failed domain transfer can be triggered by many different things. Most commonly, domains fail to transfer because the lock status wasn’t disabled, domain privacy removed, incorrect EPP/Auth/Transfer code, and not approving the transfer after it has been initiated.
Also, your domain is put on a hold and cannot be transferred within the first 60 days of being registered or after being transferred.
Yes, you can register a domain through PeoplesHost and host your website with another web hosting provider. You would need to update your domain’s nameservers to the nameservers your web host provides you.
